I agree with the commenter, but not for the same reason. Social media has allowed the ignorant and fearful to collect and reverberate in their own echo chambers. The comment you describe reminds me of that mindset, and he is blissfully unaware that he is an example of his sentiment. Dismissal without reason is their trademark, lest they have to explain themselves, and reveal their ignorance.
